Add a supported robot
Save your SO-101, configure only what it needs and preserve calibration on a compatible Mac. The paired iPhone is optional. Development access is invitation-only and physical permission remains separate.
This is a read-only preview and reference for supported Seeed SO-ARM101 Standard and Pro kits. Roboty for Mac includes the managed software component and owns saved robot details, explicit setup actions and original-session recovery. Your iPhone is optional.
Start from your actual assembly, motor and calibration state. The developing workflow requires a compatible Apple Silicon Mac build. Powered stages require stable mounting, verified hardware and supply details, and a reachable power disconnect. Unknown, custom or modified kits need compatibility review before powered work.
Private beta access is invitation-only. Public downloads are not available yet.
Already installed? Open Home → Add a robot on your Mac. Follow only the supported software stages your follower needs. Suppliers retain assembly, firmware servicing and repair. Roboty manages its own runtime.
Read the setup requirements. Reading progress never establishes hardware readiness or permission.
Setup and readiness
Identify
Connect and configure
- Step 3: Choose your USB controllerChoose the intended USB board and save its profile. Full-arm checking comes after motor IDs and assembly.
- Step 4: Set up motor IDsIdentify one isolated motor, review its current and intended ID, configure it explicitly and retain readback progress.
- Step 5: Return to supplier assemblyOnly if still building, continue the matching supplier sequence. An assembled arm does not repeat assembly.
Verify and calibrate
Calibrate and review
- Step 7: Preserve or create calibrationImport and verify, explicitly apply, or prepare supported manual calibration before positioning. Preserve original bytes and partial results.
- Step 8: Review available operationFollower setup needs no leader. Test & practice retains both-arm and operating requirements. No automatic movement.
- Step 9: Review and finishSave changes, inspect verified facts and unknowns, retain the same robot and follow the original Stop/shutdown procedure.
