Product direction

From intention to useful action.

We’re building Roboty to help anyone put robots to work. Describe a goal, draw on existing methods, and build on each result, without having to become a robotics engineer.

The experience below is what we’re building toward.

Teach the outcome you want

Imagine showing a robot where to put the scattered pieces on a workbench, then asking it to sort them into trays. Review its interpretation, try the task, and correct what it misunderstood.

Roboty should handle the software setup and find an approach that fits the task. Deeper tools let builders inspect the setup, compare methods and make precise changes.

Work directly or with an agent

Set goals and review results on your iPhone. Use the Mac for deeper work, or let an AI agent work with the same tasks and results. An optional assistant helps explain what happened and what to try next.

The Roboty experience we’re building
  1. Set a goalA person or their agent defines the outcome they want.
  2. Try an approachRoboty finds an approach that fits your robot and task, building on what already works.
  3. Review the resultSee what happened and compare it with the goal.
  4. Improve and reuseKeep useful methods and corrections so the next task starts further ahead.

↳ What we learn informs the next goal and method.

Learn from each attempt

Each attempt should make the next one easier. Keep the setup, results and useful corrections, including failures, so you can understand what happened, repeat what works and improve what doesn’t.

Over time, useful methods should help others build on what works. Your local history stays private by default. Sharing is your choice.

Software that grows with robotics

As robots and AI become more capable, Roboty turns that progress into more things people can do. Our software brings together robots, models and useful methods so each new task can build on what already works.

Where we are today

Our first testbed is an SO-101 arm, with iPhone and Mac apps in development and access by private beta invitation. Supported tasks vary by build and setup. Physical operation requires its own setup, validation and permission. Follow the Blog for what we’re building and testing.
